Birthed from a place of electric passion, the KIRTAN TOUR with Sufey Chen and Oliver Swain is a reverent celebration of devotional music and liberated movement. This captivating PRAYERFORMANCE weaves traditional kirtan classics with enchanting original harmonies in an ecstatic evening of co-creative ceremony, ritual and deep healing. This tour features a two-hour interactive experience of tribal connection and personal liberation, centered around the healing powers of intuitive dance and song.

SUFEY CHEN is a sacred song-keeper, energy healer and shamanic priestess celebrated for her work in the TRANSFORMATION and LIBERATION of the soul. From movement arts to medicine ceremonies, Sufey’s heart-centered offerings are designed to spark our intuitive ability to create, express and connect . Through prayer, pranayama, philosophy, play, poetry and inspired practice, Sufey draws from her decade-long study of vinyasa, kundalini, yin, restorative, therapeutics, acroyoga, contact improv, bhakti yoga, kirtan, tribal dance, performance arts, tantra and relationships, to guide workshops, teacher trainings and soul retreats in Bali, Thailand, China, Canada, USA, Mexico and Costa Rica.
OLIVER SWAIN is a Juno and Western Canada Music Award Nominee (2016 Roots Artist of the Year) who has spent his life studying devotional music from around the world. First fascinated by early Afro-American spirituals and mountain Gospel music, Oliver travelled the Appalachian Mountains and Mississippi Delta, eventually living in Lafayette, where he worked with the first family of Cajun Music, The Savoy Family Band. Since those early years Oliver has gone on to perform devotional music from East African, Turkish and Sufi traditions as well as exploring these themes and others in his own songwriting. Often found fronting his own group BIG MACHINE, Oliver also keeps himself busy scoring for theatre and film, teaching workshops and master classes and recording, writing and touring with a variety of international artists including triple Grammy Nominee Toni Childs, Kendel Carson and Twin Bandit. Oliver sees music as a window to the soul and is grateful to all who he collaborates with and performs for.
